Scrapbooking Cutting Machines
Scrapbooking cutting machines have had a large impact on the scrapbooking community. Before these machines were available, the scrap booker would have to rely on either precuts pages or good old fashioned scissors, razor. That all changed with release of personal scrapbook cutting systems like the Cricut or the Big Shot.
Now, a scrap booker can use preloaded software to cutout pristine shapes and designs or they can design their own with software and then have the machine cut them out to exact specification for their scrapbook.
When looking to purchase a scrapbook cutting machine, you will need to decide on what type of material you plan to cut with it. Some machines don’t cut well with certain materials and you need to look at the specifications of the machine to determine if it will cut the material you’re going to work with.

If you want to go with a manual cutting system and keep the old fashioned feel to your scrapbooking projects manual systems like the Big Shot do a great job.
Some of the systems both automated and manual will also do embossing as well. If you’re going to spend money on a scrapbook cutter, you might as well get one that does embossing also. The embossing effect can add some very cool depth and a unique look to any scrapbook.
Some the more popular cutters on the market today are the Big Shot, Provo Craft Cricut and Cuttlebut, Spellbinderss Wizaard and all of these cutters will do embossing.
The new automated systems are great to use but there are those who prefer to use the manual systems simply because it adds to the enjoyment of putting the scrapbook together.
We’ve developed this site to explain a little bit about both the manual and automated cutters and also provide you link where you can buy them at discounted prices.
Thanks for visiting and happy scrapbooking!
